Cultural Competence Study on NCFAS Assessment Tools
The National Family Preservation Network (NFPN), the Alaska Office of Children’s Services (OCS), and the Cook Inlet Tribal Council Child and Family Services Department partnered to develop a case example that portrays an Alaska Native family.
The objective was to provide a case example of a family that would be typical of the caseload for Alaska workers who complete the North Carolina Family Assessment Scales. The case example thus allows for training and testing on cultural competence.
